The Resource Desk has three exciting positions open for the 2015 summer quarter:
- The Resource Desk Advocate works directly with families in the Oak Park Community Clinic, connecting them to community resources including those providing food, clothing, and child care. This position requires a consecutive two-quarter commitment (Summer & Fall 2015) and is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check. Note the mandatory training in Sacramento on June 27th and biweekly meetings held in Davis starting July 8th. CHPT will interview applicants for this position over phone or Skype.
- The Reach Out & Read Volunteer reads aloud to children in the Oak Park Community Clinic. Interns will also help develop a literacy campaign and promotional material for clinic families. This position requires a one quarter commitment and is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check. Note the mandatory monthly meeting dates in Davis starting July 8th.
- The Resource Development Team Intern cultivates relationships with community partners by visiting sites across Sacramento, maintaining the Resource Desk's online database, and developing referral handouts for the clinic. This position requires a one quarter commitment.The RD Team Intern does not volunteer on a fixed weekly schedule. Note the mandatory monthly meeting dates in Davis starting July 8th.
