Contributing to Research
CHPT is proud to take part in a variety of research projects, including The National Children's Study (NCS), a longitudinal, first-of-its-kind exploration of the impacts of physical environment, social environment and genetics, on child health in America.
As the Community Engagement arm of the Northern California Collaborative for the National Children's Study, CHPT staff are leading the effort to engage parents, youth, educators, businesspeople, physicians and other community members interested in and excited about this unique opportunity to better understand our children and the diseases that afflict so many of them. Starting with a series of "Community Discussions," our team has connected with hundreds of individuals and community-based organizations to have an open dialogue about the meaning of "research" and "studies" in diverse communities all over Sacramento county. |
